On August 24, 2014, we went to Lewis Farm Market to buy some stuff and see the animals. There was a building with food and other stuff to buy and at the back of the store there was an entrance to a farm. On the farm they had pygmy goats, donkeys, an ostrich, wallabies, a camel, llamas, alpacas and more. The alpacas had their own separate cage. There were only 2 alpacas and they were brownish with other colors too. They liked to chew on the bars of their cages, and when they did that you could see that they had no top front teeth. One of them was a little mean and would like to spit on adult men. My dad was up at the cage, and the mean alpaca was farther back in the cage. It tried to spit him, but it didn't hit him very hard. By then I knew that that alpaca didn't like men, so when a man came along I didn't warn him. He walked right up to the cage, and the alpaca was just a few feet away from him. It spit directly in his face spraying him really bad. He was wearing glasses, so it didn't get in his eyes.
They also had llamas and I went to see them. Llamas ears are very different from alpacas. Alpacas ears are straight, but llamas ears are kind of curvy. The llamas were bigger than the alpacas, and they liked men. Two of the llamas wouldn't come to me even when I had food, but as soon as I stepped out of the barn that they were in, a different llama was following me in a different cage across the path. I gave him some food, and we headed back to see the alpacas one last time before leaving.
